Does anyone know if Telus phones can be activated over the Bell network?

Does anyone know whether Telus Phones can be activated over Bell Network.Im a Bell Mobility customer who has a crappy samsung A660 phone which doesnt hold any charge.Changed the phone once, changed the battery...no use.Every single day Ive to charge...I was with fido before using a motorola and I had to charge only once a week! I was wondering whether an unlocked motorola phone from Telus could be activated on a bell network (coz bell's phones are crappy)....Plz advise..

Christian

I have a telus phone locked and I can use a bell Sim card I don't understand why but it works and I can do it with my Bell phone with a telus Sim as well I can't use Rogers

just curious, since bell doesn't have the phone that i want and I am with bell, can i go in telus and have the phone activated to bell?

Hey I just found this post and I work for Bell. I'm just going to assume you found your answer, but for those of you still wondering, yes it is possible to activate a Telus phone on the Bell network. If they have a sim card it may be a different type of card that is used (micro sim card). The Telus IPhone uses the micro sim card as do some others and they only cost 5 bucks. Hope this helps.

Cheers

I just bought a Samsung i700 pda phone from the states. I had it professionally unlocked as I have hopes of registering it on the Bell network. Do forsee any problems of me doing this? Do you have any connections? haha

Hi v4nity. One of my Bell co-workers has a brother who also is a rep for Bell, and has activated a Telus phone on the Bell network. So yeah, you're right, the phone would need to be unlocked, so it would be difficult to do it.

But as v4nity said, do let us know rehabconsult. Good luck.

Guys,
Thanx for the replies...I really appreciate that..

I am a telus employee and from what i understand you would not be able to do this.
if it is at all possible you would have to have the phone unlocked. which is pricy, especially on a CDMA phone.. good luck. keep us updated.. i am curious..

but again, from what i know, telus can not put bell phones on our network, the phones do not work. when we try to put the ESN number into our computer, it pops back with an error, i have tried this personally, it does not work.

They probably could, but you'd have to find someone at Bell to activate it for you, so best of luck with that.
