I have a bluetooth keyboard and non-phone PDA. I love it dearly but 99% of what I do on it is write myself notes to send back to my PC (a much cheap and portable laptop alternative). However, now I need a phone and I don't really want to carry both around with me. I won't be talking enough to have a contract plan and I don't want to pay for data every month...
Is there any cheap bluetooth-enabled phone that would work with a keyboard that would let me write generally long text-messages and send them back to my PC for cheap? Do servers generally care how long your text messages are?
A reasonably big screen would be a plus.
Am I dreaming?
Hi Chicken Warrior,
I was in the same spot a couple years ago before I bought my UTstarcom PPC 6700. Except for a few hardware glitches, it has been awesome. I'm not sure if it would accept your external keyboard, but it has a great little slide out keyboard that I'm able to get a nice WPM rating on..
I'm sure there are other models since then that have done the built-in keyboard thing effectively.
Good luck!
Adam
