Do you need to have the LG 8100 activated first before you can use its camera function?
I have an LG-8100 phone that I got from my son. The service is not yet activated; however, I am testing out the camera functions on the phone but when I try to take a picture, there is not image of the picture I am trying to take showing on the display. When I press the okay button, the display just says "Please Wait". Do I have to have service activated on the phone before I am able to use the camera functions?

The non calling/network functions are independant of you having the phone with active service. The camera will work with or without service. Is the lense of the camera covered by chance? If all you see is black and a "please wait", it could be the lense being covered. Check that and post an update!
