I was wondering how the "offers" system with Telus works. I'm a new Telus customer and I assumed another person's contract . I have a yr left and I'm wondering what happens when the year is up. I know that I can get a deal on a phone if I sign a 3 year contract, but my phone is brand new so I may not want a new one. A telus rep was saying that in this instance, they may offer me something else: ie: free text messaging or something like that.(I already have VM, call display and all of that) I'm wondering if I can choose what I want, or if they have a standard offer for everyone? Can I "cut a deal" thru the loyalty department? Also, will they still offer me something if I choose to only sign a one yr contract? (3 yrs is a long time, especially if there are changes that are going to happen in the wireless industry--competitors may be offering some great deals by then--who knows?)
