Can a Motorola Timeport bought in the US be activated on the Telus network?

I need to buy a Motorola Timeport for my 2001 BMW 330. It has the phone kit installed but the handset is missing (I purchased the car used). I can't find a used Timeport for sale except in the US and they are all set for AT&T, Verizon, etc. Can I buy one of these phones and have it activated it on the Telus network? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Timeport sucks, why would your BMW have one? Dont' waste your money because all u are going to have is bad reception. Stay away from Motorola, they do not know how to make good phones

Wow thats really something. The last time i saw a motorola timeport was the same day dinosaurs were eating dinner at my house. Let me go dig up my great great great uncle and see if i can get you one.

I think Motorola Timport is a GSM phone...if it is..then it won't work with Telus
