Acer will try again to gain ground against Apple's iPad mini and Google's Nexus 7 with a new tablet, the Acer Iconia A1. Acer has previewed the device and said the device would hit shelves with a very affordable price tag. The Iconia A1 features a 7.9-inch IPS touchscreen display, a quad-core processor, a camera capable of Full HD video capture, and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system. The device will hit shelves in June for $169 euro, which is roughly $220.

- Other features include 1024 x 768 resolution for its 7.9-inch IPS display, MediaTek MT8125 quad core processor under the hood with 1GB of RAM, 8GB or 16GB internal storage options, microSD card support, 5-megapixel rear camera, VGA front camera, and a 3,250 mAh battery.
