Adobe Flash on Android officially dead starting August 15
Droid Life

Adobe chose August 15 to be the day to put the final nail in Flash for Android's coffin, as it officially kills all possibility of downloading and installing the same in new instances for Android-powered devices. Starting August 15, only those who already have Adobe Flash installed on their Android smartphones will be able to download updates. That leaves the rest of the Android-using population safe from ever having to deal with Adobe Flash again.

What Else You Need To Know:

- Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, the latest version of the Android software, is unsupported by Adobe Flash.

- Mobile flash for Android development was officially killed in November 2011, so there hasn't been much activity in the Flash for Android front outside of a handful of updates with security fixes.
