More and more details about Apple's upcoming iPhone 5 seem to surface every single day. But out of all the leaks that have come about so far, none are perhaps quite as juicy as this offering from iLab. The Chinese repair shop has published an entire gallery of pictures showing what is said to be the Apple iPhone 5, made entirely out of repair parts. iLab got its hands on the individual repair components and pieced them all together, like Lego, then pictured the next-generation iPhone for all the world to see. And now there is even a video of it for those doubting the authenticity of the pictures initially posted. Apple has so far remained mum on the whole issue. It probably does not appreciate the fact that its plans to keep the design changes on the iPhone at a minimum for the latest model have been gloriously exposed, though.
What Else You Need To Know:
- The iPhone 5 is expected to be announced some time later this year, with the latest rumors and speculation pointing to an official launch in September.
- The mockup showcased by iLab doesn't look all that different from the current generation iPhone, which suggests that Apple is opting not to fix what is not broken with the design.
- Some of the most noticeable design changes that can be seen on the iPhone 5 mockup include a smaller dock connector and a relocated 3.5mm headphone jack.
