Apple seeks sales injuction for 8 Samsung smartphones
MacRumors

Following the billion-dollar verdict to the still ongoing patent trial between two of the world's biggest tech giants, Apple has filed for an injunction that will prevent Samsung from selling a total of 8 Android-powered smartphones in the US. The list of Samsung smartphones that Apple is seeking to ban from the US is as follows:

  • Galaxy S 4G
  • Galaxy S2 AT&T
  • Galaxy S2 Skyrocket
  • Galaxy S2 T-Mobile
  • Galaxy S2 Epic 4G
  • Galaxy S Showcase
  • Droid Charge
  • Galaxy Prevail

For now, Apple is only seeking a preliminary injunction on the above-listed smartphones, while steps on getting a final, permanent injunction are being worked out.

What Else You Need To Know:

- It's interesting to note that most of the products included in the list have long been discontinued in the US.

- Apple may be planning for a separate filing that will ban newer devices based on the total list of 28 smartphones that were found by the jury last week to infringe on its patents.
