The epic patent fight between Apple and Samsung continues to drag on, and this time a U.S. court ruled in favor of the Korean Electronics giant. The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit denied the iPhone maker's request that it reconsider a ruling that would have blocked sales of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. Last summer, a judge granted an injunction of the handset co-developed by Google and Samsung but the sales ban was reversed by the appeals court. Notwithstanding that the Galaxy Nexus is no longer being sold on Google Play, the decision sets a legal precedent in allowing Samsung to keep its products in stores while litigation is ongoing.

- The dispute is based around Apple's '604 patent, which, according to Apple, is infringed by unified search as implemented on the Galaxy Nexus.
- In August 2012, a jury in San, Francisco, California, ordered Samsung to pay Apple a staggering $1 billion for design and technology patent violations by 26 Samsung smartphones and tablets but the ruling is still being appealed.
- Google Play started selling the LG-manufactured Nexus 4, which is the successor to the Galaxy Nexus, in November last year.
