ASUS Unveils Entry-Level MeMO Pad 7 "HD"
Android Community

ASUS unveiled the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean-running MeMO Pad 7". The device features a 7-inch "HD" display with a resolution of 1024 x 600 (159 pixels per inch), a 4,270mAh battery that lasts up to seven hours, and even has a microSD slot. Software goodies include ASUS Studio app which allows you to manage, edit and tag your photos and BudyBuzz, which brings the user's social networking identities into one location. The Memo Pad is said to be affordably priced at $149 and is slated to be available in shelves sometime soon.

What Else You Need To Know

  • The MeMO Pad also features multimedia apps Sonic Master, MyPainter, SuperNote Lite, and multi-window multitasking app Floating App.
  • The tablet offers 5GB of free cloud storage with ASUS WebStorage.
  • While it looks similar to the Google Nexus 7 (which was also manufactured by ASUS), the MeMO Pad doesn't have the $199 Nexus 7's quad-core CPU and 216 ppi resolution display.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think ASUS is misusing the term, “HD.” That resolution might be HD for something such as a calculator or possibly even a toaster. - Tim-o-tato, Droid Life
