AT&T announced that it will offer the BlackBerry Z10 to customers on March 22nd for $199.99 with a two-year contract. The U.S.'s number 2 carrier is opening up pre-orders for the first BlackBerry 10-running device on March 12th. While the Z10 has been available in other parts of the world for weeks now, the U.S. release was delayed due to extensive carrier testing. Two major U.S. carriers have announced the Z10 - T-Mobile announced last week that the Z10 will be open for pre-order for business customers starting March 11 for $249.99 on a two-year contract.
What Else You Need To Know
- The full-touch BlackBerry Z10 features a 4.2-inch HD display with a 1280 x 768 resolution, a rear 8-MP shooter with an LED flash and support for 1080P HD video, a 2-MP web cam on the front, microSD card slot, and 4G LTE connectivity.
- AT&T is offering the Z10 at the same price as Apple's iPhone 5 and top-end Android phones.
- While Verizon is expected to also announce the Z10, Sprint has confirmed that it will only launch the keyboard-equipped BlackBerry Q10.
- With a $199.99 price tag at AT&T, the BlackBerry 10-equipped phone will be going head to head with the iPhone 5 and top-end Android phones.
