DisplayMate puts iPhone 5 screen against Samsung Galaxy S III
iSmashPhone

Display analyzing company DisplayMate recently conducted a series of tests to see which one of the following smartphones had the superior display technology: the Apple iPhone 5 or the Samsung Galaxy S III. What they found was that in terms of color accuracy and brightness, the IPS LCD on the iPhone 5 trumps the AMOLED panel on the Galaxy S III. The result is based mostly on the inherent differences in the actual screen technologies being used, though with time it is expected that OLED's performance will catch up to LCD, and perhaps then things might change with Samsung coming out on top in future tests. For now, the DisplayMate declares the iPhone 5 as having the best screen they have ever seen on a smartphone yet.
