Facebook app for iOS gets major update for speed
Business Insider

Facebook has announced the availability of a major update for its native iPad and iOS app, one that will let users enjoy twice the speed offered by the most recent version before the update. Currently at version 5.0, Facebook for iPhone and iPad is said to open and scrolls much faster now, whether for checking news feed items or new notifications. The updated Facebook app for iPhone and iPad can be downloaded from the Apple App Store.

What Else You Need To Know:

- Facebook's mobile app has always been notoriously slow and a lot of users have bemoaned this, so this update shows that the company is at last listening to user feedback.

- The update also includes improvements that apply to photo updates or uploads through the mobile app.
