Rogers subsidiary Fido has just revealed that it now offers 4G LTE network coverage in a total of six cities across Canada. The first cities to get 4G LTE network service from Fido are Calgary, Montreal, Ottawa, Saint John's, Toronto, and Vancouver. The only official 4G LTE-enabled product available from Fido now is the Fido Mobile Hotspot, which allows users to share a mobile Internet connection with up to ten different wireless devices. Those who wish to enjoy 4G data speeds will just have to use their own smartphones with Fido's new SIM cards.
What Else You Need To Know
- Fido plans to further increase its 4G LTE network coverage throughout 2012 by launching the service in over 10 other cities which include Ajax, Burlington, Oakville, and Pickering.

Fido is a subsidiary of Rogers, which has had LTE for a while now, so why it's taken so long and why they're still treated so separately are questions that nag in the back of many users minds.- Rene Ritchie, iMore
