Hype surrounding the HTC M7 is getting additional mileage thanks to leaked images of the Taiwanese device-maker's upcoming flagship phone spreading online. The rendering of the M7, obtained from a tutorial video for installing a SIM card into a phone, shows an edge-to-edge screen and a design that looks more like the iPhone 5 rather than the Galaxy S3. The device is expected to be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in February.

What Else You Need To Know

  • The 4.7-inch HTC M7 is rumored sport impressive specs, including a 1080p, full HD display, 1.7GHz quad-core processor, 13MP rear facing camera, 2MP front facing camera, a metallic unibody design, and an IR port that allows the phone to be used as a universal remote control.

I know what you think – it looks like the back of an iPhone 5 (or is it the new Blackberry 10 device?). - Bogdan Petrovan, Android Authority
The render could very well be just a placeholder image and nothing like that of the final product. Or…, we could be looking at a near final M7 sans HTC branding. - Mike Norris, Gadgetsteria
