The long wait for Samsung's second generation Galaxy Tab 10.1 is finally over in the United Kingdom. Retailer Carphone Warehouse said in its Web site that the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 would be ready by August 22nd. The Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 has Android Ice Cream Sandwich built-in, and a bright 10.1-inch 1280 x 800 LCD display. The 16GB Wi-Fi-only model costs £299 ($469) while the 32GB Wi-Fi + 3G costs £399 ($628).

What Else You Need To Know:

- A TechRadar review gave the tablet only 3.5 stars out 5 because the new tablet "lacked the design identity" of the original.

- The Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 has a redesigned chassis to avoid patent issues with Apple.
