Google officially announces Nexus 4

Google has finally taken the wraps off its latest flagship Nexus smartphone, which was built in cooperation with Korea-based LG Electronics. The Nexus 4, as it is officially dubbed, will become available starting November 13th with version 4.2 of the Android software, which retains the codename Jelly Bean. It features a 1.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, a 4.7-inch 1280x768 IPS touchscreen display, 2GB of RAM, up to 16GB internal storage, an 8MP rear camera, NFC, wireless charging, and a 2,100mAh battery. Pricing starts at $299.

What Else You Need To Know

  • The Google Nexus 4 will be available in 8GB and 16GB configurations in the following regions: US, UK, Canada, Germany, France, Spain and Australia. Offline availability in Europe, Central/South Americas, Asia, CIS and the Middle East.
  • The Nexus 4 was officially announced alongside the Nexus 10 tablet from Samsung, which will also run Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and will become available on November 13th.
