Google announces Maps update for over 50 countries

Starting today, a few new features are going to become available for users of Google Maps in over 50 countries around the world. Google will be pushing out high resolution satellite images as part of the update, and some areas are even getting high resolution aerial updates. The update also adds 45° imagery to Google Maps.

 

What Else You Need To Know

  • The latest Google Maps update comes at the same time that Apple's CEO Tim Cook publicly apologizes for the iOS6 Maps gaffe.
