Google is reportedly holding a press event, titled "The playground is open", October 29th possibly to unveil the high-end Nexus 10. The successor to the popular Nexus 7 would be produced by Samsung, features the yet to be released Android 4.2 operating system, and a 10.1-inch screen with a high resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels. Confirming the Nexus 10 rumors are the product code-named "Manta" seen in Google Analytics data and user agent profiles and an image of a "Nexus 10" device posted in Picasa.
What Else You Need To Know
- The Google Nexus 10 is touted to have a super high-resolution display that tops Apple's third-generation iPad. The Nexus 10's 2,560 x 1,600 resolution display gives the device 299 pixels per inch, compared with the highly touted 2,048 x 1,536, 264 PPI on the 9.7-inch Retina iPad.
- The Google Nexus 7, priced at $199 and co-developed by Asus, was released in July. The device, which has been praised for its amazing display, features a pixel density of 216 ppi.

If you look at the photo on Picasa (soon to be retired in favour of Google+), the listed model name of the photo in question is "Nexus 10", while the camera is listed somewhat suspiciously as "Google".

The information clearly shows the Nexus 10 as the source device of the photo and the 2560 x 1920 resolution of the photo is consistent with a picture from a 5-megapixel camera. Hopefully, Google will use its upcoming Android event on October 29th to make this device official.
