The official Google Calendar app for Android is now available as a stand-alone app which can be downloaded directly from the Google Play store. Users of devices that are running Android 4.0 ICS or later can now enjoy the benefits of the app which was previously available exclusively on devices like the Nexus S and Galaxy Nexus. The stand-alone app allows users to create, edit, or delete calendar events, use pinch-to-zoom for navigation, and benefit from improvements in notifications and event reminders. It is available for download from the Google Play store for free.
What Else You Need To Know
- Google Calendar for Android normally ships with the stock version of Android 4.0 ICS, though it is absent in some devices like some of Samsung's high-end Galaxy devices.
