The Wall Street Journal reported Thursday that Google has plans to sell tablet computers directly from its own online store. Citing anonymous sources, the WSJ writes that a Google store will offer devices from Google partners such as Samsung and Asus plus a Google-branded tablet later in the year.
The move to open a online shop is an apparent attempt to spur the adoption rate of its Android tablets which have experienced relatively sluggish sales in comparison to its main competitor Apple.
