HTC Droid DNA with 5-inch 1080p screen announced for Verizon

HTC has got a new 5-inch 1080p screen equipped smartphone called the Droid DNA, and Verizon will be the first to launch it in the U.S. on November 21st. The Droid DNA's biggest highlight is its full HD S-LCD3 screen which boasts a pixel density of 440ppi. It also comes with a number of other high-end features such as a 1.5GHz Snapdragon CPU, 2GB of RAM, an 8MP camera, a 2,020mAh battery, and Beats Audio integration. It ships with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean as the default operating system and can be purchased for $199.99 with a two-year contract.

What Else You Need To Know

  • The 8MP camera on the HTC Droid DNA is capable of recording 1080p video, which would go well with its 1080p screen.
  • It's unclear whether or not the Droid DNA will be upgraded to Android 4.2 Jelly Bean in the future.
