HTC One Headed to Verizon After All, But a Month Late
Engadget

HTC announced last month that the HTC One would be sold at AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile. All Things Digital confirms that HTC's newest flagship device will also be headed to Verizon, albeit a month or two late. It was initially speculated that Verizon would not receive the phone, but it is now being confirmed that the reason for a delayed launch is the carrier's strenuous testing process. It remains to be seen though if the phone Verizon will be releasing will be the same handset that will be offered by other carriers or a rebranded version, as has been the case with Verizon in the past.

What Else You Need To Know

  • The HTC One features a 4-MP "ultrapixel" camera that gathers 300 percent more light, a Qualcomm quad-core Snapdragon 600 clocked at 1.7GHz, and a Sense 5.0 interface over the Android 4.1 operating system, and is set to be released in 80 countries.
  • Managing to get all four major U.S. carriers to carry its flagship device should help HTC better compete against high-end rivals Apple and Samsung.
