Huawei Claims to Have the World's Fastest Smartphone
Gizmodo

Huawei unveiled at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona Spain the Ascend P2, which is exalted as "the world's fastest smartphone." To back those claims, the Chinese device-maker notes that the device has 4G LTE Cat-4 on board, good enough for speeds of up to 150 megabits per second and giving it data speeds up to ten times faster than what you can get on the iPhone 5. As to its specs, the Ascend P2 has a 4.7-inch IPS display with 720p HD resolution, a 1.5GHz quad-core processor, 1 GB of RAM, a 13 megapixel BSI camera sensor on the back with HDR shooting, a 1.3 megapixel camera on the front, and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean software customized with Emotion UI 1.5 overlay. The device will be rolled out globally in the second quarter. Pricing has not been announced.

What Else You Need To Know

  • The Ascend P2 is super thin at 0.31-inch (8.4mm) on the side and light weight even with a rather substantial 2420mAh battery.
