Samsung finally released the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) update for the Galaxy Tab 10.1 and Galaxy Tab 7 plus. Samsung also gave away the source-code for the Galaxy Note 10.1, which is pre-installed with ICS. The updates allow developers and hackers to create custom ROMs based on the official codes.
What Else You Need To Know:
- The ICS update comes 10 months after ICS was unveiled by Google, and a little over one month after ICS successor, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean was announced.
- Samsung is expected to debut Jelly Bean as an update to current devices in the second half of the year.

For most of us, this means sitting back and waiting for the inevitable announcement from the developer(s) of the ROM we're running, so we can download it, flash it, and hope it boots. For the developers though, this means a busy weekend of compilation and experimentation.
