iMac-Like HTC Tablet Photos Allegedly Leaked
Into Mobile

HTC's upcoming 10-inch tablet is not an iPad wannabe -- but it resembles Apple's iMac PC -- if alleged leaked images from "EVLeaks" prove to be authentic. The alleged leaked images show an unusually designed Android device that's very slim, has a bezel that's larger on one side, has rounded curves at the edges like the HTC One X smart phone, and appears to have a polycarbonate back. Unlike other tablets, the HTC device has the front- and rear-mounted cameras placed on the bottom of the tablet rather than the top.

What Else You Need To Know:

- Apple already has pending lawsuits against HTC, and the tablet, if released, could be another target of Apple's infringement claims of design patents.

- HTC is rumored to be working on a 1.3GHz Nvidia Tegra 3 tablets with a 1280 x 752 resolution, which would succeed the 7-inch Flyer and the 10-inch Jetstream.

The images come by way of a newly-set up Twitter account @evleaks and we smell a serious rat – this tablet looks so much like an iMac that this HTC tablet can't possibly be a real product that's coming to market. - Kate Solomon, Tech Radar
We’re still not sure if this is just an early prototype, a promo, or just HTC trying different things out. One thing is certain, we are waiting to see at least one HTC Tablet at IFA, and whether it’s this unique device or something else, let’s hope they don’t disappoint. - Jaime Rivera, PocketNow

The device is definitely an Android tablet, but it brings some minor differences in the UI, which are definitely expected from HTC.

HTC’s Newest Tablet Appears in Series of Pictures, It’s an Interesting Take on a Slate

The only OS-type of picture we have is that of an email client, which looks like iOS, not Android. We all know that it can’t be running iOS, so that either leaves Windows or Android, however, we’d be jumping ahead of ourselves if we claimed it to be either one definitively.

Mysterious HTC tablet leaked complete with iMac style design

Judging by its size the new tablet looks to be a 10-inch tablet rather than 7-inches as seen on HTC's first tablet, the HTC Flyer. Likewise there is no reference to in the images to the inclusion of a stylus as found in the Flyer.

Leaked HTC Tablet Images Reveal Strange Chin, Is This the Vertex?

It’s unclear if HTC is going for continuity in design with the iconic HTC Hero design, or if the company is trying to do its best to create a non-attractive product to avoid an Apple design patent lawsuit that Samsung had faced and lost.

HTC Leaked 10 Inch Tablet Says “I’m an iMac”

From what I see in these pictures, either the person holding the tablet has small hands, or the device is really, really big.

HTC 10-inch tablet leaks, to be unveiled at IFA?

The display seems too bright and artificial in a couple of the pictures (especially in the one below), so we’re betting it was photoshopped in the images. Then again, that doesn’t necessarily mean the images are fake and it could mean that the tab wasn’t fully functional at the time of the photo shoot.

New images show off possible HTC tablet

In my opinion, it looks styled after the HTC One series though, I'd be lying if I didn't also say it looks like a decapitated iMac.

Suspicious HTC tablet pictures hit the web

What's more, it doesn't jive too badly with what we know HTC is working on; a 1.3GHz Nvidia Tegra 3 tablet with a screen resolution of 1280x752.
