Instagram announced that it now has 100 million active monthly users, far behind Facebook's 500+ million monthly users, but an impressive feat nonetheless. The photo sharing app reached the 100-million user milestone just two and a half years after its 2010. Instagram has managed to gain ground at a much faster rate than Twitter, which hit the 200-million user mark at the end of last year after six years. Instagram's growth of 11.11% from 90 million users in January quells reports that the photo service was bleeding users following terms of service changes.
