Lenovo’s 7-inch IdeaTab Tablet Prepped for U.S. Release

Lenovo's 7-inch IdeaTab A2107A tablet recently passed through the FCC. The IdeaTab A2107A, which is pre-installed with Android Ice Cream Sandwich, is a Wi-Fi only model and does not offer support for wireless cellular networks.

What Else You Need To Know:

- The device has a 7-inch touchs-creen with 1024×600 resolution, a 1GHz Mediatek MT6620P processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB or 16GB of internal storage, 0.3 megapixel front camera, 2MP rear camera, and a 3700mAh battery.

- Lenovo has not announced pricing and availability.

While pricing hasn't revealed whether it'll spar with the Nexus 7 for the hearts of bargain tablet shoppers, Lenovo's smaller Android 4.0 slab, the A2107, has called in at the FCC.

Unlike the Nexus 7, the new IdeaPad comes with dual cameras, a 2 MP rear-facing shooter and a 0.3 MP front-facing webcam. There’ll be two versions of the tab, with 8 and 16 GB of on-board storage, both of which will only come with Wi-Fi connectivity. Finally, the 7-inch display should also be pretty “competitive”, sporting a 1024 x 600 pixels resolution.
