LG announced the Optimus F5 and Optimus F7, both models offering 4G LTE connectivity and "premium user experience...to a mass audience." The F5 features a 4.3-inch display and a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor while the higher-end F7 features a 4.7-inch True HD IPS display and a 1.5GHz dual-core processor. Both Android Jelly Bean 4.1.2-running devices include advanced UX such as Live Zooming, and an upgraded QSlide, a feature that allows users to open two apps simultaneously. The F devices will be available worldwide beginning with the second quarter rollout of the F5 in Europe, followed by the Optimus F7 in selected markets. Pricing has not been announced.

- The F5 sports a 256-ppi resolution display, a 2,150mAH battery, and a 5MP rear camera while the F7 has a 312-ppi resolution display, a large capacity 2,540mAh battery, an 8-MP rear camera.

- In mid-February, LG announced the high-end Optimus G Pro, which comes with a gigantic 5.5-inch display and an industry-first 1.7 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor.
- Korea-based LG will cap a busy month by showcasing its new devices at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain on February 25th to 28th.
