LG Nitro HD To Get Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich Update From AT&T

AT&T has just announced plans to push out an update for users of the LG Nitro HD that will upgrade the handset to Android Ice Cream Sandwich starting July 31. The LG Nitro HD will be joining the ranks of several other smartphones in the market that are already running Android 4.0. LG's Optimus 3.0 user interface is also part of this update, which will be available for download via the LG mobile support tool for PC.

What Else You Need To Know:

- The LG Nitro HD is available with a 2-year contract through AT&T for $49 USD.

- There is no indication that an Android Jelly Bean update is on its way.

In addition to the ICS update for the Nitro HD, AT&T said it plans to offer maintenance updates to the HTC One X and the HTC Inspire that enhance performance of the two devices.
