LG Korea has just released information regarding the much-awaited Android 4.0 ICS update for the Optimus 2X on Twitter, saying that it is already working on it in order to get it to its users in Korea. In other words, LG Korea is set to release the update after testing, though at a still unspecified date. It has been known for a while that the update is meant for a Q3 2012 release, so there's still about a month and a half for it to be finalized. There's no info on when the update will become available outside of LG's homeland, but this should be made clear in the next few weeks.
What Else You Need To Know:
- LG Korea is also working on an Android 4.0 ICS update for the LG Optimus 3D P920.
- It isn't clear whether or not LG Canada's previous info still stands--that the Optimus 2X won't be getting an update to ICS in the future.
