Rumors have surfaced about Motorola's plans to release two new handsets in October of this year, namely the RAZR HD and RAZR MAXX HD. These models are said to be updates for the two leading Motorola smartphones currently available in the market, and will feature much more powerful innards and possibly longer battery life. An exact date of release has not been specified for either device, but they will likely be launched in mid-October, when both the RAZR and RAZR MAXX are expected to be phased out.
What Else You Need To Know:
- A mid-October launch is seen by some people as quite disastrous mainly because of the widely expected next-generation iPhone launch in September.
- Users of the Motorola RAZR and RAZR MAXX are still receiving free updates to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich as of this writing.
