Motorola RAZR and RAZR MAXX get Android 4.0 ICS update
GottaBeMobile

Motorola has finally started rolling out the Android 4.0 ICS update for its RAZR and RAZR MAXX Android smartphones, which gives more people the chance to enjoy the goodness of the penultimate version of Android. Starting this week and all throughout the next one, users of the international or GSM versions of both the RAZR and RAZR MAXX can expect to upgrade their devices to Android 4.0 ICS at no extra cost. And while the update may have already started and rolled out to some devices, don't worry if you haven't received a notification yet. It is reported that only select users will get the update for now, and a much wider rollout is scheduled for next week.

What Else You Need To Know:

- Motorola RAZR and RAZR MAXX both belong to the category of devices currently running Android 2.3 Gingerbread and will move all the way up to Android 4.0 ICS.

- Android 4.0 ICS was once the latest version of the Android software but has now been supplanted by Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
