Motorola has not announced its highly anticipated game-changing X Phone, but for now Google's smartphone subsidiary is aiming to drive sales by offering a $50 incentive to anyone buying one of almost 20 handsets. Shoppers can score a $50 Google Play gift card with a purchase of a Droid RAZR HD, Droid RAZR HD MAXX, Droid M and a dozen other popular Motorola Android smartphones on Motorola's Web site or at retailers online or in-store. The $50 credit can be used to purchase apps, movies, books and more from Google Play. Motorola's special offer runs through March 4, and is not tied to a specific carrier.

- The deal includes older phones and discounted phones at Amazon, which is selling the Droid RAZR MAXX HD for $99, the Droid RAZR HD for $49.99, and the Droid RAZR M for $0.01.
- Motorola needs to grab attention while it's still working on a new flagship device as HTC and LG have already announced their new high-end devices and Samsung's slated to unveil the Galaxy S 4 in March.
