NEC Casio Touts World's Thinnest & Lightest 7-Inch Tablet

NEC Casio Mobile is releasing the Medias Tab ULN-08D, which claims to be the world's thinnest 7-inch tablet at 7.9mm, and the lightest at 249 grams. Other features include a 1,280 x 800 resolution display, a dual-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 1GB of RAM, an 8.1MP rear camera, a 2MP front camera, and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The tablet is available at Japanese mobile operator NTT Docomo. No information on availability and pricing outside Japan has been provided.

  • NTT says the device has haptic vibration capabilities, promising an "extra-tactile" touchscreen.
