Apple has started selling refurbished versions of its third-generation iPad in the Apple Store. Refurbished models of the new iPad, as well as the one-year older model iPad 2, are available at $50 off the price of a brand new tablet. Stocks are available for the WiFi only versions and the tablets with Cellular/LTE (with an option to choose between AT&T and Verizon).
The refurbished entry level iPad (3rd generation) is available for only $449 while the most expensive model, the iPad with Wi-Fi + Cellular 64 GB, is priced at $779. For the iPad 2 models, the price cut is $150 but the offer is for a "special limited time price."
What Else You Need To Know:
- The current generation iPad, which has a Retina display, LTE capability, and a powerful dual-core A5X chip with a quad-core graphics processor, was launched in March this year.
- Pre-owned Apple products undergo a stringent refurbishment process before they are being offered for resale. And the refurbished models come with the same warranty and Apple care option that are provided for brand new devices.
