Five of the world's largest magazine publishers have joined forces to create a joint venture called Next Issue Media and today the company is launching its Android app (iPad to follow).
The Next issue app hopes to address the current need to download a new app for every magazine and restore the “newsstand” feeling of browsing a rack in a single app. At present, there are 32 titles on offer including poupular titles such as ELLE, Esquire, Sports Illustrated, TIME, People, Vanity Fair and Fortune. All titles are available as individual issues starting at $1.99 as well as via Netflix-style pricing for an all you can eat, $14.99 per month subscription.
