Google announced that the $25 free credit to the Google Play store awarded to Nexus 7 owners will expire September 30th. Once redeemed, the credit will be available for use on apps, books, movies, TV shows, magazines, games and music in the Play store until September 2013. The Nexus 7 is available directly from Google and select retailers in 8GB and 16GB models for $199 and $249.

- The Nexus 7 tablet, one of the best selling tablets in the last three months, boasts, of a powerful quad-core processor, high resolution display, built-in NFC, and Jelly Bean operating system.
- There have been reports that Google and Asus are readying an October release of a Nexus 7 that would have 3G (or 4G LTE) cellular connectivity.
