Nokia introduces two new additions to its Asha range of entry-level handsets with the Asha 308 and Asha 309. Both phones are equipped with 3-inch scratch-resistant touchscreen displays, 2MP cameras, powerful speakers, and the Nokia Asha OS. Both phones are mostly identical, except for the fact that the Nokia Asha 308 has an Easy Swap Dual SIM feature, while the Nokia Asha 309 has built-in Wi-Fi. Both phones are scheduled to become available in Q4 2012 for about $99 USD.

- Nokia's press release states that all touch-enabled phones belonging to its Asha range have earned full smartphone classification from analysts and market research companies like IDC and GfJ.
- Both the Nokia Asha 308 and Asha 308 will arrive with 40 free EA games that can be downloaded and installed upon first use.
