In what seems like an act of desperation, Nokia has announced today that the price of the Lumia 900 has been slashed in half. This comes just 3 months after the phone's much hyped release and speculation is that disappointing sales have forced Nokia to dump leftover stocks.

- This announcement follows news that it won't be upgradable to Windows Phone 8.
- Nokia & Microsoft have already spent hundreds of millions promoting the 900 in the US.
- Despite heavy promotion, analyst Horace Dediu says only 330 thousand units have been sold.
