Nokia World to see launch of new WP8 Lumia devices?
Other

Nokia is reportedly going to unveil new Lumia-branded smartphones powered by Microsoft's Windows Phone 8 operating system at Nokia World this year, prior to the expected announcement of Apple's upcoming iPhone 5. Windows Phone 8 is set to hit the market before the end of Q3 2012, so it makes sense for Nokia to hold an official unveiling at the beginning of September of this year, when Nokia World is scheduled to occur. Officials at Nokia have so far declined to comment on the matter, but the truth should become apparent in the next few weeks.

What Else You Need To Know:

- Nokia's current flagship smartphone is the Nokia Lumia 900, which runs Microsoft Windows Phone 7.5 Mango and cannot be upgraded to the next version of the software when it comes out.

- AT&T and Verizon Wireless in the US have partnered with Nokia to help grow rates of Lumia smartphone adoption.
