PayPal has just signed an agreement to get in on Discover's credit card network to further accelerate adoption of its mobile payment system. This deal between the online payment giant and Discover will see PayPal access come to 7 million merchants by the second quarter of 2013. When the mobile payment service integration finally goes into effect, customers will be able to pay for in-store merchandise with the use of their PayPal Access cards, as well as the PayPal mobile wallet app through which most transactions are going to be handled.

What Else You Need To Know:

- The announcement of the deal between PayPal and Discover comes shortly after Square came out with a similar agreement in cooperatioin with Starbucks.
