After a successful Indiegogo crowdfunding project, a company called Peacock Imports is now set to deliver a couple of new tablets that have the ability to run not just Android but also Linux via a dual-boot configuration. The first tablet, called the PengPod 700, comes with a 7-inch screen, 1GB of RAM, and a 1.3MP front-facing camera. It will be given to those who donated $120 during the Peacock Imports crowdfunding stint. Meanwhile, there's also a second tablet called the PengPod 1000, a 10-inch version of the PengPod 700. It will be given to those who donated $185 during the crowndfunding drive.

What Else You Need To Know

  • Both the PengPod 700 and the PengPod 1000 can now be pre-ordered for $110 and $175, respectively.
  • Both tablets will come pre-loaded with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The Linux distro will be installed on included bootable SD cards.
