Just days after shedding its rather intriguing invite-only status, Pinterest has opened its doors even further by releasing the very first official Andoid app through Google Play. Now users of the Android OS, whether they have a smartphone or a tablet in their hands, will be able to "pin" whatever content their heart desires. Of course, users will also be able to follow certain streams and keep up with the latest on their favorites. Pinterest for Android is also set to become available through the Amazon App Store later this week.
What Else You Need To Know:
- Pinterest is an online photo sharing service that is best described as a virtual corkboard of sorts where users can "pin" pictures and follow streams of pinned pictures that they deem interesting.
- Pinterest for Android is being launched alongside the Pinterest for iPad app, which is also available for download now.
