Fone Arena

Plants vs. Zombies 2: It's About Time, the sequel to PopCap's popular defense game, is set to launch in July. Plants vs. Zombies was available first as a browser-based flash game in 2009, eventually got released on nearly every platform, and became one of the most popular strategy games of all time. The Seattle-based game publisher hasn't announced pricing and has not confirmed if the game will be available for all platforms at the same time. The teaser video does not show any gameplay footage, showing instead internet personality Boogie2988 aka Francis, Xbox Live rockstar Major Nelson and other people talking about PvZ 2.

What Else You Need To Know

  • The original PvZ is currently available on a number of platforms, including Mac, PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Nintendo DS, PS Vita, Chrome, iOS, Android, Windows Phone, BlackBerry and Bada.
  • The $0.99 PvZ app ranks #12 for all-time paid iPhone apps.
  • Video game publishing giant Electronic Arts bought PopCap in 2011 for $650 million.
