New Carriers Estimated to Own 6.5% of Canadian Wireless Subscriber Base by the End of 2012
Based on some recent stats it’s estimated that the total wireless subscriber base in Canada is 26,383,417, this is up about 7% from last year. Rogers is still leading the pack with 9,335,000 subscribers, with Bell and TELUS close behind. As for the newer wireless players, at the end of 2011 WIND Mobile has racked up around a total of 403,000 subscribers, but Mobilicity says they’ve “claimed its place as the nation’s fastest-growing new wireless entrant.”

Apple and Google’s OS Share Slides in March as BlackBerry Shows Narrow Gain
The smartphone and tablet landscapes remained largely unchanged in March as far as operating system usage share is concerned. New data from analytics firm Net Applications shows that the collective operating system share owned by Apple’s iPhone and iPad inched down to 59.87% in March from 60.59% in February. iOS’s share had skyrocketed in February as it continued to gain after losing share ahead of the holidays.

10 Million Samsung Galaxy S IIIs Already Pre-Ordered
Samsung has been number crunching of late. Following last week’s claims that it had shipped five million Samsung Galaxy Notes in as many months, a Twitter conversation has claimed that 10 million Galaxy S IIIs have already been pre-ordered by various channel partners. Twitter hearsay perhaps, though there’s no doubting that the follow-up to the hugely popular Samsung Galaxy S II is getting a lot of people excited.
