WIND Officially Says the Nokia Lumia 710 is “Coming Soon”
A few weeks ago we let you know that WIND Mobile was going to be releasing a few new devices: Nokia Lumia 710, Samsung Gravity Touch 2, and Huawei Astro. These are all expected to be available sometime over the next few weeks and if you take a gander at the WIND Mobile site today you’ll see one of them, the Window Phone Mango Lumia 710, with the familiar “Coming Soon” label on it.

RIM May Be Hiring Bankers to Explore Options
Research In Motion is seeking out banking firms in the search for guidance on its options moving forward, according to three sources cited by Bloomberg. Bloomberg's sources indicate that the company is weighing a bank in Canada, as well as a bank with a global presence. The company, which announced several strategic changes during its March 29 earnings report, is said to be looking at ways to turn itself around.

Amazon Android Developers Can Now Charge More Than $20 For In-App Purchases
Amazon is now letting developers charge higher prices for in-app purchases thanks to new parental controls it just strengthened. The company sent out an e-mail to developers today that said: “With our parental controls functionality now updated, in-app items over $20 may now be submitted via the developer portal.” Developers depend on these pricier items to make their businesses work since only a small percentage (usually in the single digits) of their users pay in their games.

FCC Fines Google $25,000 for Unauthorized Data Collection and Impeding Investigation
The Federal Communications Commission has fined Google $25,000 for impeding a U.S. investigation into the data collection scandal surrounding its Street View project, in which the Internet giant allegedly accessed unsecured networks and collected personal information without users’ permission. The FCC said the Mountain View-based company did not cooperate with the investigation and refused to reveal the names of its engineers associated with the project.
