Virgin Mobile Launches Contract-Free HTC One V For Just $199
The chin is in at Virgin Mobile — the Sprint-owned prepaid wireless carrier has quietly launched one of HTC’s latest and greatest smartphones, the entry-level-but-quite-capable HTC One V. Complete with a throwback Android chin beneath the device’s 3.7-inch WVGA display, the One V features a 1GHz Snapdragon S2 processor, a 5-megapixel camera with HTC ImageChip technology, 4GB of internal storage, microSDHC support, Beats Audio, 512MB of RAM and Sense 4 on top of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

Fido Shifting Towards Per-Minute Billing July 4th
Fido is owned by Rogers and is one of Canada’s affordable wireless brands. While several competing carriers offer unlimited talk, Fido has consistently prided themselves in promoting per-second billing… this is coming to an end on July 4th. According to an internal doc we received it shows that Fido will be shifting towards per-minute billing. This officially will take place tomorrow and will only impact those who sign a new agreement. Current Fido customers will stay on the per-second model, but will change towards per-minute if/when they change their plan.

Judge Lets Galaxy Nexus Sales Ban Stand
U.S. District Court Judge Lucy Koh on Tuesday rejected Samsung's request to lift an injunction imposed against it that bans it from selling the Galaxy Nexus device in the U.S. Judge Koh granted Apple a preliminary injunction ahead of the patent-related trial between the two companies, but required Apple to post a $95 million bond, which will be used for reparations to Samsung should Apple eventually lose its case in court.
