Qualcomm today introduced two new quad-core SoCs as part of its Snapdragon S4 play line, aiming for a commercial release of the same during the first quarter of 2013. The new chips, codenamed MSM8225Q and MSM8625Q, will feature native support for 720p displays, built-in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, FM, LPDDR2 memory, and FM connectivity, and HSUPA/LTE. Manufacturers like Sony, Nokia, and Samsung are expected to use the new chips with some of their upcoming entry-level offerings.
